Letourneau L-2350 Wheel Loader Towed by Four Mercedes Benz Trailers

As we all know, the Letourneau L-2350 Wheel Loader is the world’s largest in its class ever produced. Of course, it will not be easy to transport this huge loader, which weighs approximately 260 tons, from one place to another.

When its huge size was added to its huge weight, the transportation of the Letourneau L-2350 Wheel Loader was carried out with four Mercedes Benz Trailers. Below, we have arranged for you the comments of those who watched the loader, which was delivered to the mission site without any problems, with an extremely critical transportation process.

Back in the late 80s is switched from over-the-road to hauling earth moving equipment. I pulled some big, heavy pieces… but DAMN! I never moved anything that required four tractors. That was impressive.

Hate to be the poor dumb bastard that has to change the tires on that loader !

Astonishing. Working at mercedes truck fabric , wörth, germany and didn” t know that we were making trailers

RG Letourneau was a mechanical genius, loved all sorts of devices. Once he loved VW bugs, drove it around the Longview Texas site. He was following one of these big machines, driving right in the track of one of the tires. The big scraper stopped in front of him, and he stopped the VW, got out to investigate why the operator had stopped. The operator put the machine in reverse and inadvertently drove right over the bug, squashing it. It was a good day in Longview.

Its good to see they have more than 1 of these loader numbered 5 on the road and the one in the quarry is number 4.

While it’s off the ground maybe you might wanna change the tires….just an idea

Looks like she needs a new set of Tyres. Didn’t see the front Shovel in the Convoy.

That’s bad ass that they fly the Chilean flag on that huge letourneau loader which at one point in time was made in Texas who shares the same flag! Very cool
