The general areas of use of long-reach excavators are sea embankments or high-rise construction projects. The attachments of 3-boom excavators, which are generally used for demolition in high-rise construction projects, are hydraulic shears. In sea filling projects, buckets containing as little as 1/3 of their capacity are preferred.
This is because reaches of up to 35 meters in length tolerate this weight. In projects that require such a long reach, construction machines with a tonnage weight of over 200 tons, such as the CAT 6015B, are preferred.
